The digital media manager role reports to the Head of Media and is responsible for the preparation of budgets and estimates, conducts analysis and takes primary responsibility for the day-to-day digital media planning and implementation functions across assigned accounts.

 


  • Your role will include creating and maintaining effective relationships with clients and ensuring in-depth knowledge of their business 
  • Preparation and presentation of ideas & recommendations to clients (or assisting in)  Research
  • Researching past brand or product strategies and results, competitive actions, consumer
    behaviour and changes to the marketplace
  • Generates and interprets regularly required media research and audience analysis
  • Understanding and interpretation of research, market data and systems
  • Searching for new, innovative and relevant communications ideas and presenting these to clients
    Implementing, Coordinating & Monitoring
  • Work within a broader, well-integrated media team, applying digital solutions to efficiently meet
    clients business, marketing, and advertising needs
  • Implementing the approved Strategy through negotiation, placement, and stewardship of the
    buys
  • Negotiation, technical set-up, and official purchase/placement for assigned campaigns
  • Ensures all media are placed, tracking correctly and consistent with an approved media plan
  • Providing communication to clients on progress and outcome of buys and results
  • Final checking of media invoicing prior to billing
  • Generating appropriate reporting (performance tracking, post analysis, budget reporting,
    contract management, marketplace trends)
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the digital media market, i.e. demand factors, new developments,
    audience research etc.
  • Material Despatch
    • Works with other team members and media owners in developing necessary information about
      material specifications and deadlines
    • Prepares & issues digital media despatch details
    • Campaign management tasks may be required

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Digital Planner / Buyer type roles including campaign  management and social campaign experience
  • Eagerness to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with a broader agency team as a digital media expert  
  • Excellent computer skills – particularly in Excel and Powerpoint/Keynote
  • Proficient in Media and Billing Systems – eg. Pegasus, Market Intelligence, Answers etc.
  • Numerical accuracy & attention to detail
  • Presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels of an organisation
